I4PL 2026 · Igniting The Capability Era

Your conference questions, answered.

Information to help you plan your I4PL 2026 experience. We’ll update this page as additional details are confirmed.

When and where is the I4PL 2026 conference?

The I4PL 2026 Annual National Conference takes place on Wednesday 25 and Thursday, November 26, 2026 at the Westin Harbour Castle, 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, Ontario M5J 1A6.

How do I book the conference hotel rate?

The conference rate at the Westin Harbour Castle is $359 CAD per night plus tax, in Canadian dollars. To receive the rate, book directly with the hotel: use the I4PL booking link, or call 1-888-627-8559 and quote group code I6P. Bookings made through third-party booking sites are not part of the group block, and the conference rate does not apply. The booking window closes on October 27, 2026.

Who should attend?

The conference is built for learning and development practitioners across Canada: heads of learning, capability and talent leaders, instructional designers, facilitators, and CTDP and CTP certification holders maintaining their professional practice.

How do I register?

Register and pay through the Institute’s secure checkout, linked from the Register page. Members pay the member rate automatically when they use the email on their membership. 13% Ontario HST is added at checkout, your receipt shows the HST number, and your invitation to the Whova event app follows before the conference.

What is the refund policy?

Tickets purchased more than 30 days before the event may be cancelled for a full refund, less processing fees, within 24 hours of purchase. Purchases made within 30 days of the event are non-refundable. Tickets cannot be transferred.

Is the conference available in French?

This site is published as a matched English Canadian and Québec French experience, and every page has an equivalent in the other language. Session-level language availability is confirmed as the program is finalised.

How do I request accessibility or dietary accommodation?

Please let us know about any dietary or accessibility needs when you register, or contact I4PL directly to discuss specific requirements. Submit your requests by November 5, 2026, so we can plan ahead. We’ll do our best to accommodate requests received after this date, but cannot guarantee availability.

Are sessions recorded, and can I record them?

Based on the speaker agreement, no recording or livestreaming of conference sessions is planned. Session photographs may be used in conference and promotional communications where the speaker has granted permission. Presentation slides will be shared with conference participants through Whova only with the speaker’s permission. Speakers retain ownership of their original presentation materials.

How many people attend?

The conference will welcome up to 500 attendees, creating opportunities for meaningful connections, engaging discussions and active participation in sessions.

Are there airline or rail discounts?

Yes. Discount codes are available for Air Canada, WestJet, Porter Airlines, Delta Air Lines and VIA Rail. The codes are listed on the venue and travel page.

The conference app

Everything on the day lives in Whova

The agenda, room changes, speaker profiles, the attendee directory and messaging all run through the Whova app. Delegates who have used it before tell us the directory is where the useful conversations start, so it is worth installing before you travel rather than in the lobby.

Your download link arrives with your registration confirmation. The app opens to delegates closer to the conference.
