Cancellation and refund policy.
How cancellations, credits and refunds work for I4PL memberships, webinars, events and certification.
The Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL) does not issue refunds for memberships, webinars or event registrations, except as set out below for the Annual National Conference 2026.
National and chapter events
Cancellations received in writing up to seven days before the event date receive a full credit voucher, to be applied to another event within the same calendar year.
- A free member event ticket cannot be transferred from an I4PL member to a non-member.
- For a paid member ticket cancelled less than seven days before the event, no credit voucher is issued, but the member may transfer the ticket to another I4PL member.
- For a paid non-member ticket cancelled less than seven days before the event, no credit voucher is issued, but the ticket may be transferred to an I4PL member or non-member.
- If an I4PL chapter or I4PL National cancels an event or webinar, the Institute issues a refund or credit note to everyone affected.
Annual National Conference 2026
The Annual National Conference 2026 is governed by its own refund, cancellation and transfer terms, published on the Conference refund policy. For Conference tickets, those terms apply in place of this policy wherever they differ.
Certification
Provided no exam has been scheduled:
- Within 30 days of registration: full refund, less a $100 administration fee.
- After 30 days: no refund.
Membership
There are no refunds or cancellations of membership fees once the transaction has been processed.
