Certification

Canada's recognized credentials for performance and learning.

The Institute for Performance and Learning sets the standards that define the workplace performance and learning profession. The Certified Training and Development Professional™ (CTDP) and Certified Training Practitioner™ (CTP) are the only professional designations for workplace performance and learning in Canada.

Becoming certified is a great way for your skills and expertise to be recognized and acknowledged.

Why get certified

Industry-recognized certification is evidence of your skills and experience as a learning and development professional, and of your commitment to continuous improvement. It proves your credentials to employers and clients and sets you apart from uncertified candidates competing for the same roles. In a recent review of job sites, more than 50 postings on LinkedIn and Indeed listed CTDP or CTP as required or an asset.

Certified professionals are considered for leadership roles and high-profile projects. The confidence employers place in the designation translates into accelerated career paths: promotions, salary advancement and broader responsibility.
